The high-flyer WWE superstar Ricochet is well-appreciated by the fans for his in-ring acumen and work ethic. However, it seems that he is not much of a fan of the internet fans who have gone to orchestrate an entire charade regarding the Cody Rhodes WrestleMania situation.

Cody Rhodes was heavily favored to be in the main event of WrestleMania 40 against the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship. The belief became even stronger with his victory in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match and pointing straight towards Reigns after the win.

However, this week’s edition of SmackDown changed the game as Rhodes did not choose Roman Reigns as his opponent. The return of The Rock followed this and it became apparent that WWE was moving towards the dream showdown between the two biggest WWE superstars of all time in Philadelphia.

Since then, the Internet Wrestling community has shown immense support for The American Nightmare, while also flooding a lot of negativity and irating comments towards The Rock and WWE as a whole.

Ricochet took notice of the entire situation and took to his X to voice his own opinion. He mentioned that while he was Cody Rhodes’ biggest supporter, the Internet Wrestling Community was a toxic place pointing toward their recent actions.

“First, let me say there is no bigger Cody supporter than me, ask @SamanthaTheBomb 2nd, you guys have shown me how truly toxic the IWC is haha.”

With the fans actively voicing to see Cody Rhodes in the WrestleMania spotlight than The Rock, it would interesting to see if that impacts WWE’s current creative direction for this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.
