Charlotte Flair faced Asuka on December 8th, 2023 in a solid match on Friday Night SmackDown. Unfortunately, she suffered a serious knee injury and required surgery for the same. Now, Ric Flair has stated that his daughter is simply crushing it when it comes to her injury recovery.

The disappointment among fans is palpable as Charlotte Flair, recovering from surgery since January 5th, will miss both the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event and WrestleMania 40 this year.

Charlotte Flair provided a recent injury rehab update, sharing that she is already back in the gym just 14 days after undergoing surgery. Naturally, this shocked fans in a big way.

“I was speaking with Dr. Dugan. He’s been there 30 years. He said Ashley is one of the top three athletes that they have ever done surgery on. Think about that. We’re talking Bo Jackson. We’re talking, I mean, I can go down the list of people.

The Tommy John’s. He said we consider her one of the top three athletes, not wrestlers, to ever come through the doors.”

Ric Flair continued to commend Charlotte Flair’s recovery, highlighting her exceptional skills. He mentioned that she is surpassing recovery expectations and is set to return faster than recommended, considering it as one of the biggest compliments one could receive. Ric emphasized Charlotte Flair’s unique and exceptional qualities.

“Her recovery, she’s crushing it. She’s actually going to come back faster than they will ever recommend. That’s unbelievable. I thought that might be one of the biggest compliments.

“I mean, it’s unfortunate that it had to come from a doctor in a hospital, but I keep telling people, man, she’s a different kind of cat.”

Ric Flair also revealed how Charlotte Flair’s injury put an emotional strain on her. It remains to be seen whether the 14-time Women’s Champion will be able to make her in-ring return ahead of schedule.
