NJPW star Tama Tonga is a member of the original Bullet Club and has been in NJPW For several years. However, he claimed that this month would be his last in the company and he would leave afterwards. In light of this, another NJPW star claimed that NJPW had fired Tama Tonga.

Tama Tonga defeated Shingo Takagi and won his fourth NEVER Openweight Title. Fans expected he would be sticking with NJPW after that but Tanga had other plans as he announced that he would leave the company after January.

On Tuesday morning, NJPW revealed that Tama Tonga is set to defend his NEVER Openweight Championship against EVIL on January 20 at NJPW New Beginning in Nagoya.

On the NJPW website, EVIL is currently listed as the NEVER Openweight Champion. In light of this, EVIL took to Twitter and claimed that NJPW had fired Tama Tonga and that Tonga didn’t even have to go to Nagoya for the match.

Tama’s profile has been properly deleted. It’s a company decision that Tama is already fired. I don’t have to come to the Nagoya event either. Hahaha!”

EVIL is listed as the NEVER Openweight Champion on both the Japanese and American NJPW websites. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether this is all part of a storyline or whether there is truth to what EVIL claimed.
