Dijak has been on a roll ever since he returned to NXT last year, as the star is truly bright for the NXT Superstar. He had a pretty solid 2023 and is determined to make 2024 his year as well. He also hit back at people who claimed that the black and gold version of NXT was better and dismissed the current version of the show.

Dijak was also part of the black and gold version of NXT, when he was known as Dominik Dijakovic. He had stellar matches throughout his previous run in NXT, especially against Keith Lee.

Even then, the current version of NXT has seen a ton of growth and development since its rebranding back in 2021. Despite that, many still clamour for the older version of NXT to come back, namely the nostalgia advocates.

Dijak took to Twitter to hit back at the fans who dismissed the current crop of talent in NXT and instead just wanted the black and gold version of NXT to return, stating that he was part of the older version of NXT as well.

Why do people talk about current NXT like I’m not there? Like Ilja isn’t there? Dragon, Corbin, Lyra, Melo, Briggs, Wes, Blaire etc. We got plenty of experience. “I miss Black & Gold” like bro shut up I was part of Black & Gold. I know how good it was and I know how good this is.”

Dijak also touted his success when it came to NXT’s ratings last week, even going so far as to suggest name change for himself. We will have ot wait and see whether 2024 will see Dijak finally becoming the NXT Champion, as many fans feel he more than deserves it.
