Chris Jericho’s Surprising Reaction to CM Punk’s WWE In-Ring Return After 10 Years

CM Punk was released from AEW back in September after Punk had a backstage fight with Jack Perry at AEW All In. This eventually led to Tony Khan firing CM Punk from AEW, but Punk came back to WWE at Survivor Series last month. Many AEW stars kept tabs on what Punk has been doing in WWE since then and that includes Chris Jericho. Jericho even had an interesting reaction to Punk’s WWE in-ring return after ten years.

CM Punk battled Dominik Mysterio at Madison Square Garden on December 26th as part of WWE’s Holiday Tour. Fans chanted CM Punk from the moment the doors opened, making it a significant moment for both the fans and Punk himself.

CM Punk was almost at loss for words when he arrived at Madison Square Garden. This was even more apparent once he started making his entrance to the ring for his match, as the crowd simply erupted.

WWE uploaded a video of CM Punk’s grand entrance at Madison Square Garden on Instagram. Interestingly enough, Chris Jericho reacted to Punk’s WWE in-ring return in the video and simply congratulated Punk.

Chris Jericho also revealed AEW’s honest reaction to CM Punk returning to WWE. Many people have made peace with the fact that CM Punk will remain in WWE for a long time now and that includes Chris Jericho.
