CM Punk returned to WWE, and that sold a ton of merchandise as well. Now, Eric Bischoff is doing what he can to bring awareness to the Second City Savior’s merchandise, but he has a good reason for doing so.

The common saying going around since CM Punk’s WWE return is that “Hell Froze Over.” It appears that more has transpired that would give weight to that idea, because Eric Bischoff is also promoting CM Punk’s merchandise now.

Eric Bischoff jumped on X to plug a new endorsement deal for his 83 Weeks podcast. He has a link that will give him advertising revenue for the WWE Shop, and he picked CM Punk’s merchandise to throw out that advertisement.

I’d look good in one and you know it.

The strange part is that Eric Bischoff picked CM Punk’s “Hell Froze Over” t-shirt and the Second City Savior’s new hoodie to complete that advertisement. We have to wonder how much CM Punk merchandise Easy E was able to help move with that post.

Eric Bischoff once said that CM Punk offers no value to WWE right now. His argument was that WWE is in the middle of a booming period, and they don’t need Punk to spike any viewership. That being said, Punk’s return didn’t hurt at all.

Now, Eric Bischoff has proclaimed CM Punk’s WWE return as one of the most financially successful decisions in pro wrestling history. It just shows that anyone can change, including Eric Bischoff.
