Real Purpose for CM Punk ‘Missed’ Flight Before WWE NXT Deadline

CM Punk’s comeback at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event had a ripple effect of sorts as the whole pro wrestling world is still processing his return even now. Punk teased making his way to NXT Deadline by stating he missed his flight and now the real purpose for that has been revealed.

The Second City Saint recently teased showing up at the NXT Deadline Premium Live Event by stating that he missed his flight and was stuck at Bridgeport. NXT’s official Twitter account then teased Punk appearing on the show and Shawn Michaels invited him afterwards.

CM Punk made a surprise entrance at WWE NXT Deadline on Saturday night. According to PWInsider, it was reported that CM Punk missing his flight was simply a creative way for Punk to make it to NXT Deadline.

”The story that Punk “missed his flight” was simply a creative reason to explain his appearance and to set the ball rolling for fans to anticipate his appearance through social media engagement with Punk, Shawn Michaels and Paul Levesque postings on Instagram and Twitter.”

The actual reason for CM Punk’s appearance at NXT Deadline was unveiled as well. CM Punk will also reveal his brand of choice on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, so we’ll have to see what he will end up choosing in the end.
