CM Punk returned to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series event. This was a shocking moment, and pro wrestling fans aren’t going to let Tony Khan live this down.

Pro wrestling fans aren’t known to have much chill, and they are also incredibly inventive those two things merged together when Tony Khan dropped a post on Instagram. He soon had a slew of CM Punk messages.

Fans posted whatever CM Punk image they could find, preferably one with Tony Khan in it as well. WWE had no issue signing CM Punk once again, in a deal that came together over the last several days.

Tony Khan hasn’t responded to this yet, and AEW has also been radio silent when it comes to commenting on CM Punk’s WWE return. We will have to see what’s next for this story, but CM Punk will be in WWE for the next few years to come.

CM Punk rode one wave of controversy after another during his time in AEW, and he was eventually fired from the company after backstage blow-up at All In London. Now, he is back in WWE, but the two did have a discussion about mending fences prior to Punk’s return.

You can check out a video of Tony Khan’s post in the space below. He must have been getting a lot of notifications, but it’s probably not what he really wanted.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
