CM Punk’s return to WWE made waves and caused viral reaction already. His return happened fast, as even the creative team had no idea he was coming back. Although some Superstars were smartened up about his return just before WarGames, Punk had no time to re-introduce himself to anyone.

Triple H said CM Punk’s new WWE deal came together very late in the game, and that blockbuster news brought quite reaction all around. For what it’s worth, CM Punk appeared to be elated as he left the arena following his return to the company.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that CM Punk did not speak with any members of the roster prior to his return angle. This was a huge surprise for many, as he remained secluded, just before the time came for his return.

CM Punk has not talked with any members of the roster before the angle.”

It was previously reported that any heat from Seth Rollins over CM Punk’s return is part of a storyline. We were able to confirm this. Talent were smartened up about Punk’s return, but that doesn’t mean the Second City Savior actually communicated with any of them.

There may be some fabricated heat, thanks to Seth Rollins and also Rhea Ripley’s reactions at the end of Survivor Series, but some WWE Superstars are legitimately upset to see CM Punk return. Drew McIntyre left Allstate Arena in huff, and it is believed that Punk was the reason for his anger.

We will have to see how CM Punk meshes back into the WWE locker room. He tried to assimilate himself a bit a few months ago, when RAW was in Chicago. CM Punk showed up backstage, but then Vince McMahon made the decision remotely to throw Punk out. It should be noted that Vince McMahon had no say in bringing CM Punk back, because that was a Triple H and Nick Khan move.

What’s your take on WWE bringing CM Punk back? Could they have made a better decision about someone to bring back? Let us know what you think about this in the comments section!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
