It was a jaw-dropping moment at Survivor Series when CM Punk made his electrifying comeback to the WWE, and the wrestling world was left in shock. But one man, Ryback, who once swore he’d retire if Punk ever returned, seems to have had a sudden change of heart!
Ryback, a former WWE superstar, had an infamous falling out with the company back in 2016. He made no secret of his disdain for CM Punk and even boldly claimed he’d hang up his wrestling boots for good if Punk ever made a comeback at Survivor Series.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, Punk is back, and the world was ready to see if Ryback would keep his word. But it seems “The Big Guy” has had a change of heart, taking to X/Twitter to deliver his shocking about-face:
“I will not be retiring. He had to return to AEW, and that did not happen. Thank you for supporting @FMMNutrition 😉”
Fans couldn’t believe their eyes as Ryback seemingly weaseled his way out of his retirement vow with a rather bizarre excuse. The WWE Creative team was also kept in the dark about Punk’s return, making this surprise even more electric.
