CM Punk’s AEW release sparked rumors about his potential return to WWE. While official reports have consistently denied any ongoing discussions between CM Punk and WWE, some fans remain hopeful each week.

A WWE executive recently weighed in on whether the company was trying to erase CM Punk’s legacy. They have carried on with business as usual without him, and there is no sign that they are going to have him back.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s Paywall that, as of November 20th, there are no talks going on between CM Punk and WWE.

There were CM Punk chants heard during WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. CM Punk chants also popped up during Shinsuke Nakamura vs Akira Tozawa’s match on RAW. That being said, WWE realizes that fans are chanting for CM Punk. That doesn’t mean WWE is any closer to inking a new deal with CM Punk.
