AEW Full Gear was a loaded night of pro wrestling, and it wasn’t a great one for the Young Bucks. Now, they are at the cusp of a brand-new direction for their characters. This will see a notable change.

Ringside News had complete coverage of AEW Full Gear. The Golden Jets shut down The Young Bucks, and neither Nick or Matt Jackson were happy about it.

Sean Sapp dropped a bit of a note behind Fightful’s paywall about the whole thing. The Young Bucks are undergoing a noticeable shift in their behavior, which has been prominently featured on recent AEW TV broadcasts. Brandon Cutler has mentioned that the Young Bucks are temporarily stepping away from wrestling, though there’s additional context to consider.

The Young Bucks are poised for a heel turn, if they haven’t already undergone one in the eyes of many, but we’re told they won’t be alone in that. In addition to The Young Bucks, there have been plans for them to be joined by others. Fightful has learned that Brandon Cutler is at least tentatively slated to continue with the Bucks, as well as at least one other personality as they continue their turn. The tweet that Cutler put out indicating that the Young Bucks are taking time off of wrestling is to further that, and he’ll be doing a lot of the speaking for them on screen and social media moving forward.

It was also reported that sources stated, “that the altered format of Being the Elite is a part of this.” There could be more to this story, but we will have to see if there are further developments.

AEW has settled a matter with the Young Bucks, who recently inked new long-term contracts with the organization. A couple of weeks ago, they were unintentionally omitted from the “EVPs” section on the roster page, but the error was promptly corrected.

We’ll have to see what the Young Bucks’ future in AEW stands in terms of booking. They are certainly in an interesting place right now. That being said, they aren’t leaving the land of Elite any time soon after inking those new deals.
