WWE’s Targeted Efforts To Sign Top-Tier Japanese Talent

WWE has cast a wide net across the global pro wrestling scene, and there’s a possibility they may soon add another prominent Japanese talent to their roster: Giulia. This interest, however, is not a recent development, as she has been on their radar for quite some time.

It was recently reported that Giulia is expected to pay visit to the WWE Performance Center. This sparked a lot of interest and fans were certainly intrigued to see what will happen next.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE is very serious about acquiring Giulia. An offer could be coming for the stand-out female talent from STARDOM.

The Giulia stuff is far more serious as she has an “offer” and obviously Stardom and Rossy Ogawa are aware of it and she’s close to Ogawa and did have a verbal agreement to work with him next year. The one thing is that if they sign her to a main roster deal, which start at $250,000, that is more than she can make in Japan by a wide margin. If they offer her an NXT deal, that can easily be matched financially. But Sane and Sky did leave Stardom for NXT deals, and Sane left a main roster deal to come back and work an easy scheduled and still made the call to go back to WWE

Only time will tell if WWE is able to get Giulia to ink a deal with the company. We will have to see how they use her, because the company has been hit-or-miss with booking Japanese talent. Then again, Triple H has a much better track record than his father-in-law at this point.
