CM Punk’s AEW release opened the door for a lot of speculation. Although he reached out to inquire about WWE interest months ago, it was not reciprocated. Despite that fact, fans are still looking hard for any tease that the Second City Savior is on his way back to the company.

Ringside News provided comprehensive coverage of WWE RAW this week. It was quite a show, and fans also saw a big CM Punk tease inserted into Shinsuke Nakamura’s promo once again.

Shinsuke Nakamura delivered a promo in Japanese during this week’s WWE RAW, during which he issued a challenge without specifying the opponent’s name. Nakamura expressed his frustration and mentioned his intent to confront someone he described as having a significant advantage. He emphasized that external distractions haven’t diverted his attention from this unidentified individual.

Following Nakamura’s promo, fans took to social media to speculate that CM Punk might be the intended target. Michael Cole further stirred the discussion by inquiring about Nakamura’s target during the broadcast.

Ringside News was contacted by a tenured member of the WWE creative team after WWE RAW last night. They were able to confirm that Shinsuke Nakamura’s promo on RAW this week had nothing to do with CM Punk.

We were told that, “There is no interest in CM Punk.” The rhetorical question was also asked of us, “After all the irreparable damage he did to AEW, how can he ever be brought in anywhere?

CM Punk is apparently welcomed in the NWA and TNA Wrestling. Neither of those companies could pay CM Punk anywhere close to what he was making in AEW or WWE. That being said, Punk still has options in pro wrestling, but WWE is still not an open door for him.

What’s your take on CM Punk possibly making a return to WWE? Do you still think it’s going to happen? Let us know what you think about this in the comments section!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
