Zelina Vega Breaks Silence On Santos Escobar’s Heel Turn On Rey Mysterio During 11/10 WWE SmackDown

WWE included a few surprises on SmackDown this week. Santos Escobar turned on Rey Mysterio, splitting up the LWO in the process, but the faction will apparently continue without him.

Ringside News provided comprehensive coverage of WWE SmackDown this week. It was quite a show, and Santos Escobar’s heel turn was only one interesting addition to this week’s blue brand.

Zelina Vega has responded to the breakup of the LWO following Santos Escobar’s actions on WWE SmackDown last Friday. Now the LWO is lighter by one member, but Vega will not join him.

Early in the November 10th show, there were signs of discord within the LWO group, with Carlito pointing the finger at Santos Escobar for Rey Mysterio’s loss of the US Championship at the recent Crown Jewel event. Then things took a turn for the worse.

Tensions escalated quickly, leading to Escobar’s assault on Rey Mysterio and Carlito after Carlito’s match against Bobby Lashley. This was a shocking moment during SmackDown, because few saw this split coming that night.

In an attempt to intervene and halt the attack, Zelina Vega rushed to the scene, forcing Escobar to retreat. That may have ended the attack, but Escobar’s heel turn was still solidified.

WWE has released a digital exclusive video featuring Cathy Kelly trying to get Zelina Vega’s perspective on the situation. Zelina Vega made it clear that she is sticking beside Rey Mysterio through Santos Escobar’s heel turn.

The LWO is still going to continue, but they won’t have Santos Escobar in their ranks. Obviously, there will be more to this story, because things just started getting interesting this week.
