WWE booked a big match for LA Knight in Saudi Arabia against Roman Reigns, and plenty of fans are excited to see that go down. The odds are heavily against LA Knight in that match, but there is a very good reason why this match was booked in Saudi Arabia and not the United States.

The main event for today’s WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE in Saudi Arabia is set to feature the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, facing off against LA Knight.

However, it is widely anticipated that Knight will not emerge victorious and capture the championship. This strategic decision by WWE to stage the match in Saudi Arabia is likely an effort to minimize the potential backlash from fans who hold Reigns in high regard.

While providing a preview of the event, Justin Barrasso reported on Sports Illustrated that there are currently no intentions for Knight to secure Royal Rumble victory or to headline WrestleMania 40 in a rematch against Reigns. This falls in line with Ringside News‘ previous exclusive reporting on the matter.
