Bryan Danielson suffered a broken orbital bone a few weeks ago, and he will require surgery. That won’t keep him from a huge match that will knock an item off his pro wrestling bucket list. Now, NJPW has officially announced that Bryan Danielson will wrestle at Wrestle Kingdom.

A significant development has occurred regarding the potential rematch between Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada. After all, the two have unsettled business.

Bryan Danielson endured an injury to his orbital bone during his confrontation with Andrade El Idolo on Collision. This injury was thought to rule him out of action for the rest of 2023.

Concerns arose about Bryan’s participation in NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 18 event, scheduled for January 4th. However, this match is now officially confirmed following the NJPW Power Struggle event today.

Bryan Danielson made an appearance in a video during the show, wearing a bandage over his injured eye. In this video, he issued a challenge to Okada for a match at Wrestle Kingdom, with the promise to replicate the arm injury Okada inflicted on him at Forbidden Door, thus preventing Okada from using the Rainmaker move.

Okada accepted Bryan’s challenge, expressing his determination to secure victory with the same move. Now, the two will have one more match, but it will take place in the Tokyo Dome.

It’s worth noting that Claudio Castagnoli, another AEW star, has also issued a challenge to Okada. This challenge came after their recent tag team encounter on Dynamite.

We will have to see how this turns out. Now we will finally get to see Bryan Danielson at Wrestle Kingdom, which is something fans have waited for.
