CM Punk’s return to WWE is still churning in the rumor mill, despite reports that it is not happening. Still, fans are seeing teases of Punk’s WWE return wherever they can. Considering all the evidence at hand, Eric Bischoff is still not convinced that Punk will make any sort of return to WWE.

CM Punk’s AEW firing led to tons of rumors about him. Although Impact Wrestling and the NWA are the only two companies who have openly or internally expressed interest, fans are still hoping that Punk’s WWE return is around the corner. This trend is not likely to stop, especially as Survivor Series is coming up on November 25th in Chicago’s Allstate Arena.

During a recent episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff, who was once an Executive Director of SmackDown, expressed his intense doubt that CM Punk will ever make a return to WWE. At this point, Easy E’s gut tells him that the Second City Savior’s return to World Wrestling Entertainment is not happening.

“I don’t, I just don’t. Look, I’m not 100% convinced, because it is all about business and WWE historically is able and willing to get beyond issues, personal or otherwise. Warrior comes to kind. Eric Bischoff comes to mind. A whole bunch of us where nobody would have imagined that they would go to or get back into a WWE ring ever again, only to be surprised. So, I’m not saying 100% sure, but my gut tells me, ‘no.'”

“Mostly, because they just don’t need him. Because there are no holes. Where are the holes in the WWE roster right now? Where’s the holes in the product? We’re getting ready to step into the hottest time of the year, it’s wrestling’s version of the Super Bowl coming up, they just don’t need it right now.”

Eric Bischoff went on to say that WWE is raking in a ton of money with merchandise, live events, and breaking records all over the place. At this point, they do not need CM Punk back to pop a number of any kind. Stranger things have happened, but it is doubtful that Punk will return.

Ringside News exclusively reported that there are no talks going on between WWE and CM Punk. He reached out, and his offer was rejected. WWE doesn’t need him during their booming period, and he is not booked for Survivor Series in Chicago.

WWE is still very likely to sell out every seat in Allstate Arena. Only time will tell if the company hears any “CM PUNK” chants throughout the night, but they likely won’t edit them out. WWE was prepared for media to ask Triple H about interest in signing CM Punk during the last press conference, but nobody did. They rejected his advances of interest, and that is the way Eric Bischoff sees things as well.
