Shane McMahon had his hand in many historic moments throughout WWE history. His last appearance wasn’t so glamorous, as Snoop Dogg had to take over for him because he couldn’t finish quick match due to injury. The good news is that Shane seems to be recovering nicely.

Shane McMahon’s last appearance on WWE programming was at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year. On the first night of the event, an impromptu match took place between The Miz and Pat McAfee, which co-host Snoop Dogg arranged. The unexpected twist continued on the second night when Snoop Dogg introduced Shane McMahon as The Miz’s opponent. Then things went very wrong with Shane-O Mac.

During the match, Shane McMahon suffered a quad injury when attempting a leapfrog and landing awkwardly. Despite trying to continue, he was unable to stand and had to be assisted by Snoop Dogg, who delivered the finishing punch to The Miz for an impromptu victory.

Recently, during an interview on Developmentally Speaking, Declan McMahon provided an update on his father’s condition.

“His rehab is going very, very well. He’s gotten back to jogging, squatting, and he’s starting to work out again. It’s getting kind of difficult for him to bend side to side. But his rehab is going really, really well. He’s making phenomenal progress. So the doctor said all the time that he’s healing quicker than they thought, and when he tore it, he completely tore his quad tendon. That’s a very long, hard recovery, but he’s been crushing rehab. He’s been doing his thing. And he hopefully will get back soon. And obviously, you want to see your dad be able to do what they love. My dad loves wrestling.”

We will have to see when Shane McMahon shows up on WWE television again. The entire WWE landscape is much different now, as Vince McMahon is no longer calling the creative shots, and Triple H has control of the booking.

Declan McMahon may also have WWE in his future. He was ready to admit that he has an already written storyline in the company if he decides to follow that path in his life.
