You never know what can happen in the pro wrestling ring, because they say it’s not ballet for a reason. Shane McMahon didn’t do a lot at WrestleMania 39, but he still went down with an injury. Now we have an update on his status.

Shane McMahon tore his quad during the surprise match at WrestleMania 39. He came out to join The Miz, but Shane-O Mac was injured rather quickly. This led to Snoop Dogg having to pull off some impressive impromptu action with a People’s Elbow and a pinfall.

PW Insider noted that Shane McMahon was flown to Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday. It would appear that he underwent surgery at the Andrew Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center this week.

The total recovery time for an athlete who has had surgery for a torn quad can range from several months to a year or more, depending on the extent of the injury and the athlete’s progress during rehabilitation. It’s important to follow the rehabilitation program carefully and work closely with medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcome.

Interestingly enough, Vince McMahon tore both of his quads at the Royal Rumble years ago. That story still lives on in history as one of the strangest Royal Rumble finishes ever.

Hopefully, Shane McMahon is able to make it back to working order soon enough. His days in the WWE ring might be behind him, and that’s probably for the best after his brief outing at WrestleMania 39.

What’s your take on Shane McMahon’s WrestleMania return? Were you surprised to see him? Sound off in the comments!
