Tony Khan is making headlines not just for his booking skills, but for his no-holds-barred attitude. As AEW Dynamite gears up to go toe-to-toe with NXT, Khan took the opportunity to take a jab at none other than WWE’s Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon found himself embroiled in controversy back in June 2022 when it was revealed that he had shelled out a cool $3 million in a hush-money scandal. The reason? Allegations of sexual assault made by former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, dating all the way back to 1992.
Fast forward to November 2022, and McMahon faced another curveball – a demand for a hefty $11.75 million in compensation from Chatterton herself, reigniting the public’s attention to the case. A multi-million dollar settlement later, McMahon’s legal woes didn’t stop there, as a spa manager also filed a lawsuit against him.
But Tony Khan isn’t one to pull punches, especially when there’s a ratings war at stake. As AEW Dynamite goes head-to-head with NXT, Khan responded to a fan’s declaration that they wouldn’t be tuning in. His response? A dismissive “couldn’t care less.”
Then came the zinger: when another fan suggested that if Vince McMahon made a similar statement, AEW fans would be up in arms, Khan retorted, “If Sir Vince McMahon said this, it would be the least of his alleged misdeeds,” throwing major shade at McMahon’s assault allegations.
Clearly, Khan is sparing no expense to make AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday the ultimate showdown. The battle lines are drawn, and the wrestling world eagerly awaits the outcome of this clash of titans. Will Dynamite emerge victorious over NXT? Stay tuned for a night of epic wrestling action! #AEWTitleTuesday
