Carlito’s Fastlane Return Sparks WWE’s High Hopes and Big Plans

WWE fans were very happy to see Carlito return to the company at Backlash in Puerto Rico. A slew of rumors and reports followed, and he eventually signed a new deal with the company before making his Fastlane return. The company has a lot in store for him.

Carlito returned to WWE at Fastlane as Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar’s mystery partner. That shot in the arm for their team helped them defeat Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits. That return in Indianapolis was just the beginning of his story.

The SmackDown brand has a new Superstar with Carlito, and he will get started right away as part of the LWO. That being said, we will have to wait and see exactly what his next challenge is.

Ringside News reached out to a tenured member of the creative team about Carlito’s WWE return. We were told that there are, “great plans for Carlito” in the pipeline.

Carlito received a lot of praise after his return at Backlash, because he looked great and also garnered an incredible reaction from the WWE Universe. Obviously, fans did not forget about the apple-biting Superstar, and at 44-years-old, he has a fresh start with WWE after his full-time return at Fastlane.

Grayson Waller already threw little shot at Carlito. He said that Carlito’s talk show segment, Carlito’s Cabana, is a “Poor Man’s Grayson Waller Effect.” Only time will tell how that pans out, but it appears that we have found Carlito’s next opponent.
