AEW stars put their bodies through a lot as they strive for greatness in the ring. Sadly, this can call for injuries at time, and some time off is also needed as well.

During AEW Dynamite this week, Don Callis and Takeshita appeared for a backstage promo. This is when Callis had bad news about Sammy Guevara.

Don Callis said that Sammy Guevara is not medically qualified to compete this week on AEW Dynamite. We’re not sure when he will be back, but the show must go on.

Kyle Fletcher was soon announced as Takeshita’s partner instead. It wasn’t noted why Sammy Guevara was out of action, but Don Callis was very clear that he isn’t medically qualified to compete.

It is possible that Sammy Guevara is getting time off from AEW as Tay Melo prepares to welcome their first child. We’re hoping that the Spanish God comes back soon, and he will be a heel when it happens, as Don Callis will be waiting.

In other news for the night, Kenny Omega dropped an “Edge” reference to Adam Copeland very soon into their first meeting on AEW television. Also, Adam Copeland says he wants to be with AEW for years to come.
