The camera then shifts to reveal Adam Copeland standing nearby. Copeland expresses his pride in being part of the fourth-anniversary celebration and expresses his hope to continue being involved in future anniversaries, including the eighth, twelfth, and twentieth. He shakes hands with Jericho, and Omega, who initially had concerns when Edge (Copeland) appeared, is relieved and extends his hand, offering any assistance Copeland might require.

Copeland encourages them to give their best against the Don Callis Family, providing them with some motivation for their match.

Nick Jackson vs. Rey Fenix (c) (AEW International Championship)

As they grapple, Fenix makes a quick move with a double-leg takedown. He bounces off the ropes and drops down, leading to a series of intense overhand chops being exchanged! Rey Mysterio’s back seems to be causing him pain, prompting him to roll to the apron for some relief. Alex Abrahantes and Penta el Zero M show concern as they check on him.

Nick Jackson seizes the opportunity and charges in with a double ax handle. He attempts a sunset flip to the floor, but Fenix manages to block it! Fenix then executes a springboard arm drag to the floor, but it’s evident that Rey is feeling the effects of the match.

Back in the ring, Fenix goes for a chop and attempts a lucha-style arm drag, but he slips, allowing Nick to counter with a lungblower out of the corner! Fenix is sent tumbling to the floor, and at this point, we head into a commercial break!

After returning from the commercial break, Fenix starts the action with a series of kicks in the corner. He cleverly ducks a lariat attempt, spins out of the ropes, but then Nick Jackson counters with a superkick, catching Fenix off guard. Rey Mysterio kips up and retaliates, blasting Jackson with a roundhouse kick, leaving both men down on the mat!

They struggle to gain an advantage as they make their way to the floor. Nick’s leg appears to be injured, but he manages to block a rolling thunder attempt with an Ace Crusher! Both competitors are down on the outside as the referee, Bryce Remsburg, starts counting.

Back inside the ring, there’s a slingshot piledriver attempt, but Fenix astonishingly kicks out! The back-and-forth action continues with an overhand chop, Rey blocking a lucha-style arm drag, and Nick kicking him, still feeling the effects of his injured leg. They find themselves back in the corner, setting up for the arm drag, but Rey manages to lift Nick up for an AVALANCHE ACE CRUSHER!

Following a Poison Frankensteiner, Rey sets up for a flip piledriver, but Fenix refuses to stay down! The match continues with penalty kicks, another one, and Rey pulling Nick up for a short-arm knee strike, but it’s still not enough to secure the victory. The back-and-forth battle goes on, with both competitors trading pins.

In the end, Rey Fenix emerges victorious by pinning Nick Jackson with a victory roll, successfully retaining the AEW International Championship.

We are shown footage of Roderick Strong pleading with Adam Cole for assistance last week.

Following that, there’s a new promo featuring Adam Cole, but unfortunately, the audio quality is poor, making it impossible to discern the exact words spoken by Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, or the Kingdom. However, it appears that the main idea is that Strong has provided Cole with a mobility scooter for his injured foot so they can move around together.

Griff Garrison vs. Wardlow

Wardlow unleashes a barrage of powerful kicks onto Garrison, and it doesn’t take long for the referee to decide to stop the match without the need for a pin.

Wardlow emerges as the victor through referee stoppage, thanks to his devastating Powerbomb Symphony.

With that, we head into a commercial break.

After returning from the commercial break, Renee Paquette conducts an interview with Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita.

Callis begins by mentioning how Sammy Guevara’s pinning of Chris Jericho had a profound impact on AEW, even leading to a doctor declaring Sammy unfit to compete. However, Callis emphasizes that there’s no shortage of young, eager athletes ready for a chance to join this wrestling family. On the advice of Will Ospreay, Callis reached into his resources and recruited Kyle Fletcher to team up with Takeshita for tonight’s match.

He goes on to say that in the grand scheme of things, people remember who emerges as the ultimate victor in a war, not the individual battles, and he is determined to come out victorious in this wrestling war.

To make up for the previous audio issues, a replay of the Adam Cole vignette is shown, providing the proper context this time. It reveals that Cole was called over to help move furniture, despite having a bad ankle, and was guilt-tripped into staying because they claimed he “still needs help.”

Butcher and the Blade & Kip Sabian vs. the Acclaimed (c) (AEW World Trios Championship)

Before the match officially begins, the heel team initiates an attack on the babyfaces. However, the tide quickly turns in favor of the good guys, and then the match officially starts with the ring bell.

Blade and Caster are the initial competitors in the ring. Butcher follows up with a leg drop, and Sabian executes an Arabian press Asai moonsault. At this point, we head into a commercial break!

As the action continues after the commercial break, Max Caster receives a tag and enters the ring. The Acclaimed are in control, with Bowens cleaning house. They focus their efforts on Blade, and “Scissor Me Timbers” is executed. Anthony Bowens follows up with a superkick on Kip Sabian, leading to an assisted suplex maneuver.

The Acclaimed secures the victory by pinning Kip Sabian with their assisted suplex, successfully retaining the AEW World Trios Championship.

Following the match, we get the final segment of Toni Storm: Portrait of a Star. Toni is adamant about discussing her current wrestling journey rather than dwelling on how long she has been wrestling. She passionately berates RJ City about his inability to understand her perspective, and the segment concludes as we head into another break.

After returning from the commercial break, a video package highlights the feud between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre, Jr., including their post-match promos where they expressed the desire for a rematch.

A similar recap covers the match between Shane Strickland and Adam Page, and it’s revealed that Strickland and Danielson will face each other in a #1 contender’s match for the AEW TNT Championship next week.

Next, a recap shows the mysterious man in the devil mask and his associates attacking “Switchblade” Jay White last week.

The Bullet Club Gold makes their entrance and takes the mic. Austin Gunn begins with a humorous storytime, but they’re not here to talk about the injured one. They want to address MJF, whom Colten Gunn mockingly calls the “People’s Douchebag” for inventing the nickname “Tofu” for Switchblade Jay White.

Colten suggests that MJF knows he’d suffocate if he tries to “breathe” with the Switchblade, and Juice Robinson calls MJF to the ring, inviting him to wear his Halloween costume and face them like a man. MJF enters and starts an “Ass Boys” chant, labeling Juice as “Talentless Taint” and leading the crowd in a chant of those two nicknames. He discusses his achievements in AEW over the last four years and claims he’s open and honest because he’s not just any scumbag; he’s their scumbag.

MJF denies attacking Tofu and proposes a Stockton Street Fight right there and then. He approaches the ring, and the Bang Bang Gang (Bullet Club Gold) retreats. Switchblade Jay White suddenly appears and hits the Blade Runner on MJF, stealing the title belt and cutting a promo. He calls MJF a slimy, gutless coward and challenges him to put the title on the line at Full Gear.

As Jay White goes to leave with the belt, MJF stops him to accept the challenge.

Renee Paquette interviews Orange Cassidy and HOOK backstage. Cassidy mentions they would have been great champions, but HOOK is still a great champion because he has a championship. HOOK believes Cassidy deserves a title too, suggesting that Orange should get a rematch against Fenix instead of Jon Moxley. They casually snack on some chips, and Renee declines their offer.

Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega vs. Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher

The match begins with Chris Jericho and Konosuke Takeshita in the ring. Takeshita starts with a go-behind, but Jericho counters with a side headlock and then delivers a shoulder block. Jericho follows it up with another shoulder block, and then tags in Kenny Omega. They work together to work over Takeshita in the corner, executing a double suplex. Jericho goes for a one-foot pin, but it doesn’t result in a fall. Takeshita rakes Jericho’s eyes, and the action leads to a commercial break.

Upon returning from the commercial break, Jericho manages to hit the Lionsault on Kyle Fletcher. Jericho tags in Omega, and Omega delivers ax handles and attempts a fireman’s carry on Kyle, but Kyle slips out. Kyle counters with a back elbow and then sets Kenny in the turnbuckles before blindsiding him. He performs a fireman’s carry on Konosuke, leading to a Finlay Roll into a hanging lungblower!

Omega applies a half nelson on Fletcher, but it gets broken. Kyle retaliates with a Dragon suplex. There’s a superkick to Jericho, and both teams engage in stereo boots. They attempt Blue Thunder and Michinoku Drivers in stereo, but it doesn’t result in a victory. Omega responds with clubbing blows and blocks a kick, executing a Dragon suplex that snaps Fletcher’s neck. Jericho tags back in and delivers chops in the corner, leading to a chaotic sequence where all four men end up down on the mat.

Fletcher and Jericho exchange chops on their knees and eventually get back to their feet. Once again, both competitors find themselves down as the action goes to another commercial break.

After returning from the break, Chris Jericho connects with an enzuigiri and makes a tag. Kenny Omega enters the ring and trades elbows with Kyle Fletcher. Omega manages to execute a powerbomb, followed by a V-Trigger, but it’s not enough to secure the win. Jericho tags back in and delivers a Dragon suplex to Takeshita. Fletcher responds with a leg lariat, and then he scoops Kenny Omega, but Kenny slips out and hits a Codebreaker with Jericho’s assistance. They follow it up with an electric chair maneuver.

In the end, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega secure the victory by pinning Kyle Fletcher with the One-Winged Angel from Omega.

After the match, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs launches a brutal attack on Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, much to the delight of Don Callis. Hobbs beats them down, tosses Kenny over the barricade, and into the crowd. He then grabs a length of steel tubing from a guardrail and slams the entire rail down onto Kenny. Hobbs traps Omega’s head and arm through the gap in the guardrail.

Subsequently, Hobbs removes the barricade from Omega, smashes him into some chairs, and brings him back into the ring. Meanwhile, Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita duct tape Kenny’s arms to the ropes. Hobbs prepares to strike Kenny with a chair, but Callis takes the chair from him and delivers a brutal blow to Omega’s head.

Renee Paquette conducts an interview with Maxwell Jacob Friedman in the trainer’s room, with the Acclaimed lurking in the background. Max Caster begins giving MJF a backrub, but Friedman reacts strongly, accusing him of being a weird stalker and chasing him away. MJF then attempts to call Adam Cole but gets voicemail, leading to a commercial break.

Upon returning from the commercial break, a Samoa Joe vignette is shown. Joe talks about how satisfied he is but acknowledges the need to regain the hunger of a champion. He expresses his determination to go after the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, stating that Max has earned his respect, and when he’s hungry, he always eats.

Skye Blue vs. Toni Storm

The match kicks off with Toni Storm insisting on shaking referee Paul Turner’s hand but then cheapshots her opponent Blue with a short-arm lariat. The bell rings, and Storm proceeds to put the boots to Blue, slinging her aside and drawing her up. Blue shoves her back, leading to Toni delivering a Biel across the ring. Storm cuts down Skye in the turnbuckles and knocks her to the floor with a running hip attack, which takes us into a commercial break.

Upon returning from the commercial break, Blue manages to execute a victory roll pin for a two-count. She follows it up with a series of elbows. Skye reverses a whip and hits a tijeras, followed by a running knee. Storm blocks a kick but ends up eating an enzuigiri. Blue goes for a back body drop to the apron, but Skye counters with a kick. Skye leaps off the top rope with a crossbody for a near fall. Storm responds with a spinebuster, but it’s still not enough to secure the win.

Storm appears frustrated as she looks at referee Paul Turner, feeling betrayed. Blue seizes the opportunity, but Storm kicks out at two. Storm eventually turns the tide in her favor.

In the end, Toni Storm secures the victory by pinning her opponent with the Storm Zero finisher.

Commentary hypes up the next couple of shows, including a special timeshifted edition of Dynamite next Tuesday, before cutting to a commercial break.

Following the break, Tony Schiavone is in the ring to introduce and interview Adam Copeland, the Rated R Superstar, who makes his entrance.

Tony welcomes Copeland to AEW, and Copeland expresses his admiration for Schiavone’s voice, which was the soundtrack to his childhood. However, he firmly states that this is his ring now. Copeland discusses how in 2011, he was told he could never wrestle again. Still, in 2023, he’s standing in an AEW ring, and he believes the AEW World Championship would look great around his waist. He mentions the roster of talent and potential first-time matches that excite him.

But Copeland’s main reason for coming to AEW was to sit down with his family, including his daughters Lyric and Ruby, and ask for their opinion. His nine-year-old daughter Lyric encouraged him to go to AEW and have fun with “Uncle Jay.”

Speaking of Christian Cage, Copeland calls him down to the ring to reveal the real reason he’s in AEW. Christian enters the ring, and Copeland explains that they realized they’d be best friends for life in this industry. He addresses Christian’s recent actions, including attacking Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus and standing over Sting. Copeland expresses his love for Sting and can’t stand seeing Cage smash Sting with a Con-Chair-To. He believes Christian’s ego prevents him from seeing that Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne will eventually turn on him.

Furthermore, Copeland mentions that he’s in AEW because it’s time for them to team up again, like they did in the past, to face teams like FTR and the Young Bucks. He wants to show an entire generation of fans why they are one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Copeland humbly asks Christian to end their careers together as a team.

Christian appears conflicted, and as he reaches for the microphone to respond, he unexpectedly says, “go fuck yourself” mid-hug before leaving to boos from the crowd. Copeland is left shell-shocked and stares into the distance. On the stage, Christian speaks again and mentions what Copeland will be up against on Dynamite next Tuesday.

Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne enter, standing with Cage while Adam looks on in surprise. And with that, the show comes to an end.
