Johnny Gargano’s WWE RAW Return Was A Late Creative Call

WWE RAW ended with Johnny Gargano making his return to television, and that was quite a big surprise for Tommaso Ciampa to see his old tag team partner. It turns out that this wasn’t always the plan.

PW Insider reports that Johnny Gargano’s WWE RAW return was a late decision. They actually locked those down over the weekend, and Johnny Wrestling was hidden once he arrived in the building.

The Johnny Gargano return was a late WWE Creative decision, PWInsider.com has learned.

We are told the plans were locked towards the end of the weekend with Gargano traveling to Raw in San Jose early Monday and being kept hidden. 

Gargano had returned to the ring at live events several weeks back, wrestling Omos, but had not been at WWE TV prior to last night.

Team DIY is back, and it appears that Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano’s team will get a new focus. Only time will tell how it all pans out, because Triple H certainly understands what those two are capable of together.
