AEW All In London was an impressive event that filled up Wembley Stadium. After the event was over, the actual attendance of the event was called into question. It seems that someone is making an attempt to change that public perception by spreading misinformation.

AEW reported that the paid attendance for the 2023 AEW All In London pay-per-view event at Wembley Stadium as 81,035, which they claimed set a new record in the process.

In response to a public records request about the attendance for AEW All In on August 27, the Freedom of Information office for the Brent Civic Centre responded to say that the actual recorded attendance for AEW All In London was much lower than AEW proclaimed.

“The actual numbers registered entering [Wembley] Stadium through the turnstiles was 72,265 – this is reflective of what attended on the night and not the total number of tickets sold or no-shows etc.”

AEW has a lot of fans, and some of them might want to go above and beyond to change this narrative. It is unclear who is behind this information, but an email started floating around recently that is not legit.

Someone is trying to convince people that AEW All In London actually drew far more than the corrected number. A screenshot from an email is going around from someone claiming to be a member of the Brent Council, giving out yet another number for AEW All In London’s attendance numbers. Brandon Thurston posted on X about this subject, and he said that some investigating is underway.

The number of ticket fans admitted into AEW All In is still, as far as we know, 72,265.

AEW’s claimed that the number of tickets sold for the event at Wembley Stadium was 81,035.

But there was more confusion yesterday after a screenshot of an email from the Brent Council circulated on social media, where the member of the council said the attendance for the event was 85,258.

The Brent Council is the local government entity that provided the 72,265 drop count number for All In, which we reported on earlier this month.

I believe the new number — 85,258 — is probably the number of tickets distributed, not the number of tickets sold, nor the number of ticketed fans admitted into the building.

This email going around is fake, as one fan tweeted out to say that they emailed the supposed Brent Council member, who provided the 72,265. If just took a bit of fact-checking to figure out what was going on in this situation.

We will have to see when AEW sees their next massive attendance. The WrestleDream pay-per-view this Sunday will take place in a smaller Seattle venue. It will be a much more intimate setting, so don’t expect anyone to inflate those numbers by 10k.

We will keep an eye on this story, and so many more, right here at Ringside News. Keep checking back for more updates from the wild pro wrestling world!
