WWE saw The Rock make a surprise return to SmackDown, because he just so happened to be in the area. That timing was perfect, but it will take a lot more coordination for another appearance to go down, especially one in Australia.

The Rock’s WWE SmackDown return brought massive numbers. It was quite moment for WWE in Denver, but the big question is when he will return. After that appearance, there was talk of WWE having a meeting lined up with The Rock about future creative ideas as well.

Ringside News previously covered story from Australia’s The West newspaper. They stated that there are big reasons, and a greater possibility, that The Rock may wrestle in Perth. The 2024 Elimination Chamber is scheduled to be on February 24th, 2024 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, West Australia.

“Adding to the speculation is the fact that WWE was recently sold to Endeavor. There is a strong suggestion the company, which also owns the UFC, wants its first WrestleMania in charge to be an absolute showstopper. As a result, there is talk The Rock might very well wrestle in Perth at the Elimination Chamber in February on his way to WrestleMania to face Reigns two months later.”

This story about The Rock wrestling at Elimination Chamber brought a lot of conversation within the fan base. Ringside News asked around about this, and we were told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that nobody on the team has heard anything about Dwayne Johnson wrestling in Australia.

Ringside News exclusively reported that The Rock was lock for WrestleMania. The Rock later admitted that he was supposed to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, but they “put their pencils down” when they couldn’t come up with a good enough creative idea. The Rock also stated that he is open to the idea of facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

Only time will tell when The Rock will wrestle again. At this point, no possible plan has made its way to the creative team just yet. So, if anything is cooking, it’s not ready to present to anyone in the creative kitchen just yet.
