Dolph Ziggler was a mainstay on WWE television since signing with the company in 2004. The Showoff has accomplished a lot in WWE but that doesn’t mean he is done with the company. That said, he was released yesterday and this shocked fans. Now it appears The Rock showed love to Ziggler after his release.
Dolph Ziggler was a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, having won the title back in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Unfortunately, he was never seen in the main event title picture after 2013, much to the dismay of fans. In recent memory, he had shorter run with the NXT Title.
WWE would end up releasing Dolph Ziggler from his contract yesterday, something that many people simply couldn’t fathom. The Rock took to Twitter and commented on Ziggler’s release, showing love to him and making it clear that he couldn’t wait to see what Ziggler would do next.
Just seeing all these releases now. These days so f’n tough for the ones who gave their all to our crazy world of pro wrestling. Like @HEELZiggler. What a decorated @WWE career and I’ll always be a supporter and fan. Can’t wait to see what he (and everyone) does next… #onward
John Cena also dropped a tribute to Dolph Ziggler after his WWE release. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Ziggler, as fans just want him to find success elsewhere.
