Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s name is known far and wide for being one of the biggest and most influential stars in the pro wrestling business. He recently started a donation fund for victims of the tragic Maui wildfires, but he ended up getting a lot of backlash for asking for donations. Now it appears The Rock apologized after the backlash.

The multi-time World Champion is not only one of the most recognizable stars in the world, but he is also one of the kindest human beings through his actions. After all, The Rock is known to be very generous and helps those in need.

A couple of weeks ago, The Rock and Oprah launched  “The People’s Fund of Maui” to help Lahaina residents who were affected by the recent wildfires. They had already donated $10 million to start the campaign. The Rock would then urge working-class citizens to donate more to the fund and this led to a lot of backlash.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee show, The Great One addressed the backlash he received following him urging people to donate to the fund.

”The criticism, I get it. I could have communicated that message a lot better. I’ll be better next time”

It is certainly great to see The Rock own up to his miscommunication and promise to do better. After all, he is a human being at the end of the day and is willing to learn from his mistakes.

What do you think of The Rock owning up to his mistake? Do you respect The Great One even more now? Let us know in the comments!
