The Rock showed up on SmackDown this week, and it was quite a surprise. He spent nearly twenty minutes on the show, and that caused some changes for the rest of the broadcast.

While The Rock was around, he also had a chance to have special moment with John Cena. This was quite a homecoming for the People’s Champion.

The Rock took his time in the ring, and jokes were even made how he could get the Denver crowd to call Austin Theory an asshole for two hours. The Rock wrapped up his time, but changes still needed to be made.

BWE posted on X to reveal that a few changes needed to be made during this week’s SmackDown. It wasn’t noted which segments needed to be trimmed for time, because The Rock’s segment ran a bit long.

Few things being changed due to the kick off. So time / seg / promos / ads cuts happening live now.

We will have to see how long it takes for The Rock to make his way back to WWE. It doesn’t matter how much time he took, because Dwayne Johnson on SmackDown is the best viewership earner they could possibly get.

The Rock confirmed Ringside News’ 2021 report about how he was a virtual lock to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Only time will tell if they ever get back around to that, but The Great One had quite a time on SmackDown this week.
