WWE just announced the location for the 2024 Royal Rumble event. The Royal Rumble is scheduled to go down at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg on January 27th, 2024. That being said, WWE is more than ready for the show when it comes to how one big match will play out.

Ringside News exclusively reported in June that WWE decided on the winner of the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. We were told that “the Royal Rumble winner has been decided and any reports you hear about the winner are false or made up or bad sources.”

In recent memory, there have been reports of LA Knight winning the 2024 Royal Rumble match. Since that would mean plans have changed, because LA Knight only recently caught fire with the WWE fan base, we reached out to confirm.

A tenured member of the WWE creative team informed us that plans have not changed. They refused to provide spoilers, but the timing would indicate that LA Knight isn’t winning the big over-the-top-rope match this year.

The winner of the Rumble has been decided. And it hasn’t changed since the decision was made. And I’m not offering spoilers. But our plans have not changed.

The Men’s Royal Rumble match will go on to wrestle in the main event of WrestleMania 40. Ringside News already exclusively reported about WWE’s plan for that big match at the showcase of the immortals.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “things can change, and that’s something to note,” but Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes has always been the “obvious direction” for WrestleMania 40. It was also noted that this has been the “theory since before their match at WrestleMania 39.”

WWE is always changing, and things are happening all the time. Only time will tell how things pan out on the road to WrestleMania, but it will all kick off at the Royal Rumble.

What’s your take on WWE’s plan for the Royal Rumble match? Who do you think will win the big match? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
