GUNTHER is an undeniable force in WWE, and he has everyone’s attention. Wade Barrett had his fair share of time in the squared circle, but he doesn’t plan on stepping back in the squared circle against a guy like the Ring General.

Wade Barrett prefers to leave dream matches to WWE 2K23. He had a successful WWE career and held the Intercontinental Championship multiple times.

Gunther currently holds the Intercontinental Championship, and Wade Barrett is working as a commentator for WWE. Both wrestlers have a hard-hitting style, making them a potential dream match for fans if Barrett were to return to the ring.

That being said, Wade Barrett, despite feeling good, has no interest in facing Gunther even if he were to wrestle again. He made that very clear on Even Stronger podcast with Kazeem Famuyide.

“No, no surgeries on the horizon. I’m feeling pretty good. Now, of course, this is when people start messaging me, ‘Hey when are you getting back in the ring? How about Gunther?’ Hell no! I’m not getting in the ring with Gunther I can promise you that.”

We will have to see if Wade Barrett ever wrestles again. At this point, he has a lot of fun on the road with WWE, and he gets to call the action instead of taking bumps in the ring. All in all, he might prefer it this way.

GUNTHER has no intention of slowing down as Intercontinental Champion. He just broke Honky Tonk Man’s record for longest reign with that championship. You can click her for possible spoiler on GUNTHER’s future, but he won’t be stepping in the ring with Wade Barrett.
