At WWE WrestleMania 40 Sunday, Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Following this week’s SmackDown, Rhodes was seen wearing Reigns’ Tribal Chief necklace, which surprised fans.

The May 3 episode of WWE SmackDown was held at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines, France, setting the stage for WWE Backlash on May 4. This year’s Premium Live Event is set to take place at the same venue.

During the show, Cody Rhodes had one last confrontation with AJ Styles before their title match at Backlash, but fans made it clear they wanted Roman Reigns by chanting his name throughout the name.

Following the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was spotted greeting the fans in attendance. What’s interesting is the fact that Rhodes was wearing Roman Reigns’ Tribal Chief necklace, something that no one really expected as it is a huge part of the Anoaʻi family’s culture.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if The Head of The Table will make his triumphant return to WWE television, as it still might be while.
