AEW fans can look forward to the return of Red Velvet to in-ring action in the near future. Velvet, who has been a full-time AEW talent since 2021, is poised to make a welcome addition to an already stacked roster spanning AEW’s Dynamite, Rampage, Collision, and ROH programming.
Red Velvet began her wrestling journey in 2016, training at Fighting Evolution Wrestling in Miami. Her career took a significant leap when she appeared in AEW, featuring in matches on Dynamite and the Dark series in 2020. One of her standout moments was in March 2021 when she teamed up with Cody Rhodes for a mixed tag team match against Jade Cargill and Shaq. Although the match ended in a loss, it was a notable moment in her career.
Unfortunately, Red Velvet has been sidelined due to an injury, with her last match taking place on the February 1st episode of Dynamite, where she faced Jade Cargill for the TBS Title.
During a recent Fightful Select Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp shared insights into Red Velvet’s status, indicating that she is on the verge of returning to in-ring action.
“She’s been injured and sidelined and out of action. I believe she’s pretty close to her return.”
Her comeback is eagerly anticipated by AEW fans, and her presence will undoubtedly add to the excitement and competitiveness of the promotion.
