CM Punk and Jack Perry’s backstage skirmish brought a ton of attention, and it could open up a booking opportunity for Tony Khan.

We previously repoted that neurtal source, who is not a wrestler, said that CM Punk sucker punched Jack Perry. That is not a good look, but luckily, the whole messy ordeal was also caught on camera.

During his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T remarked that AEW should cash in on this situation. He suggested that AEW hold their own Brawl For All tournament, with their own rules, so everyone can have a turn fighting CM Punk.

“Let me tell you this … remember the Brawl for All? There’s money to be made here. There’s money to be made. Look, you can make the rules however you wanna, but I’m just trying to think of a third string of revenue.”

Co-host Brad Gilmore remarked that CM Punk would have to fight everyone in the tournament, and “that’s not fair.” Still, the suggestion is apparently out there. Let’s see if Tony Khan books it.

WWE’s Brawl For All tournament in 1998 remains a unique and controversial chapter in wrestling history. The competition saw WWE Superstars engage in legitimate boxing matches, departing from the scripted nature of professional wrestling. While intended to create realism and buzz, it faced criticism for its impact on wrestler injuries and the unpredictability of outcomes, ultimately making it a memorable but divisive experiment in the world of sports entertainment. Butterbean later commented that he was brought in as punishment to KO Bart Gunn after he beat Dr. Death Steve Williams in the tournament, who the company wanted to push as a top star.

Keep in mind that it’s very likely that CM Punk will miss AEW All Out. Jack Perry is in the same situation, as he is also suspended. That being said, don’t expect this shoot to become a work any time soon.

We will have to see when CM Punk makes his return to AEW. He very likely won’t be back by this weekend. That being said, Tony Khan did say that he hopes to have some information from their investigation by All Out.

Booker T certainly has some unique takes on pro wrestling. That is what keeps him so entertaining. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
