The world lost a great man when Bray Wyatt passed away, and that called for a big storyline to get nixed for WrestleMania, and so much more when he vanished. Sadly, the world will never get to see what they had planned.

Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt’s real-life brother, was introduced as Uncle Howdy. Fans never saw who Uncle Howdy really was, or got any conclusion for that storyline. Sadly, it appears that angle will never see any kind of resolution.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE actually had plans for Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy to have a WrestleMania match. Those plans for a brother vs brother match at Mania were scrapped, and Bobby Lashley was moved in as Wyatt’s WrestleMania 39 opponent instead.

It was noted in the report that WWE nixed this idea because Uncle Howdy wasn’t pushed to that level in the end.

“Taylor Rotunda had returned to WWE as Uncle Howdy. At first the idea was for Wyatt to build to a match with Howdy at WrestleMania, but that plans ended up changing and Howdy was not being pushed at that level and the character dropped. Alexa Bliss, who was associated with Wyatt years earlier in doing a female monster gimmick, was about to go back to the gimmick when he became ill. She later got pregnant so the plans never developed.”

We will have to see if Uncle Howdy ever returns. Fans are calling for Bo Dallas to come back with that gimmick to give some kind of conclusion for that storyline.

Bray Wyatt’s passing is still incredibly difficult to take, and accept, for many people. He is gone, but he will never be forgotten. Sadly, the brilliant creative ideas Bray Wyatt had will also never be realized on WWE television.
