CM Punk and Jack Perry’s backstage confrontation at All In London got physical, and Tony Khan said that they are investigating things. Now, we have even more details, and it seems that CM Punk’s time in AEW might be over if things go poorly from this point on. At this stage, we are still waiting on a conclusion.

CM Punk, although his record wasn’t great, is a trained MMA fighter. That being said, he could have done a lot more with that chokehold on Jack Perry.

Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling reported more details about what happened backstage at All In London between CM Punk and Jack Perry. It was also noted that Punk put that chokehold on to “neutralize” the situation.

“Punk was waiting in the Gorilla position before the show went live for his match against Samoa Joe when Perry entered the area and walked up to him. Punk initiated the verbal exchange between the two, asking Perry if he had something to say, and the conversation quickly escalated, leading to Perry asking Punk to ‘do something about it.’

This is when Punk shoved Perry, Perry responded by shoving Punk back, and then Punk put him in what is being described as a chokehold. We’re told Punk viewed putting Perry in a chokehold as a way to neutralize the situation, as he’s a trained fighter and does not want to have to fight Perry. No punches were thrown, as far as we know.”

After his match, CM Punk is said to have headed to his dressing room to get changed. Then he engaged in a conversation with AEW security. It is believed that Punk proposed the idea of leaving the venue given the circumstances. According to the report, Punk departed from the premises “voluntarily” and later rendezvoused with some of the talent following the event.

The report noted that it is believed that there wasn’t much communication, if any, between Punk and AEW since the incident. It was also added that Punk’s future with AEW appears to be questionable.

CM Punk is quite a controversial character, and All In wasn’t without drama. We will have to see what he does next, and please keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more.
