Terry Funk might have lit up the ring for his entire life, but he was also in Road House and was a stuntman on some of Sly Stallone’s films. Needless to say, the Texas native led an amazing life, full of exciting locations, but he never lost his roots.

Sylvester Stallone posted on his Instagram account to his over 16 million followers, and he dropped a touching tribute for Terry Funk. He said that the Funker was “tough as leather,” and that was very true in many ways.

Terry Funk’s last match was on September 23rd, 2017. That was a 6-man tag team match with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express as they defeated Brian Christopher, Doug Gilbert and Jerry Lawler in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Even to his final days, he never lost his personality.
