Cash Wheeler Arrested On Aggravated Assault & Firearm Charge

Original: FTR are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions, and they have a massive match lined up at Wembley Stadium at All In against the Young Bucks. Now, 1/2 of that team is facing some serious problems as he was arrested for domestic assault.

According to information from the Orlando Sentinel, Cash Wheeler was taken into custody by the Orlando Police Department on Friday morning and is now facing a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. We have no further details about what transpired prior to this arrest.

Daniel Wheeler, a tag-team champion in All Elite Wrestling, was arrested Friday morning by the Orlando Police Department and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. He was booked in Circuit Court, according to county records.

Cash Wheeler’s booking took place in Circuit Court, with no further details provided. We will continue monitoring this ongoing story for more updates.

AEW issued a statement to the Sentinel, which reads: “AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”

This is terrible timing for Cash Wheeler, and AEW in general. It will also be interesting to see how AEW reacts to this terrible turn of events.

It was said that FTR and The Young Bucks are okay with each other, despite the fact that CM Punk and FTR are incredibly close. AEW has dealt with talent and staff with legal issues in different ways. As of this writing, no party involved has made a public statement on the matter.

Having dedicated 18 years to the wrestling industry, Cash Wheeler spent six of those years in WWE under the name The Revival before making the move to AEW in 2020, where they have since risen to prominence as one of AEW’s premier acts. Sadly, this turn of events has popped up, and we are hoping for a positive outcome.
