Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle recently teamed up for some matches on television. Some fans, and pro wrestling critics, assumed that WWE is going to do another RKBro angle, because that is the way it is seemingly going with McIntyre as a reluctant partner.

Ringside News reached out to discuss this angle for the Original Bro. We were told by a tenured member of the WWE creative team, “that is not the direction for McIntyre and Riddle.”

Randy Orton is not back from injury yet, but there is still light at the end of that tunnel. The Viper’s return could see him reunite with Matt Riddle, but Drew McIntyre is not filling that spot for Orton. Ringside News exclsuively reported in May that Randy Orton will be back in the ring this year, at least that is the plan. That being said, fans are looking at a wait, and it won’t happen until the later part of 2023.

Only time will tell how things pan out for Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre’s storyline. WWE is not recycling their previous RKBro angle, no matter how well it worked out the first time.
