AEW has a lot of stories going on right now, and a number of them take place backstage. We previously reported that some non-contracted talent were sent home during Collision this week, and now we have even more on that story.

According to the latest report from Wrestling Observer, Hangman Page had been scheduled to participate in a pre-taped interview for AEW Dynamite. However, upon his arrival, he was informed that the interview would need to be conducted away from the venue and that he should not attend the show. While there have been similar claims, confirmation is still pending.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Ryan Nemeth showed up for the Collision tapings, but he was told that he wasn’t needed and they booked a flight home for him. This is an interesting situation, because it could involve CM Punk and some hurt feelings.

Ryan Nemeth was brought into town for the Collision tapings. Shortly after arriving he was told by a coach that he wouldn’t be needed, and a flight had been booked for him to return home.

Nemeth is a regular on Being The Elite, and was confronted by CM Punk shortly after CM Punk’s return this year. Specifically, Punk took exception to Nemeth’s  “Literally the softest man alive” … tweet that followed Punk’s return promo. We haven’t heard how things went outside of Nemeth explaining himself, and that it didn’t end in anything physical.

Regarding the situation involving Hangman Page and CM Punk, it has been explicitly stated that the promo following Collision was not a scripted or planned segment involving Page.

Ryan Nemeth exited Twitter, so he doesn’t have an active account to fish out that tweet he dropped after Punk’s promo, but the Second City Savior might not have forgotten about it. We will keep a close eye on this ongoing story, right here at Ringside News. A story like this could have several updates, and inspire countless memes.

CM Punk’s return to AEW has resulted in some interesting booking, and it’s anyone’s guess when the next story will break. Leave your comments below to leave us your big guess on what is going to happen next!
