WWE has a lot of plans for Roman Reigns, and SummerSlam was no different. The Head of the Table beat Jey Uso in a dramatic Tribal Combat match, but it wasn’t an easy day at Detroit’s Ford Field.

Roman Reigns was hurt in that SummerSlam match. Naturally, a lot of questions were immediately fired all over social media after that news broke. Reigns is still the top name in WWE, and he brings a ton of attention to every step of the Bloodline’s incredible story.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Roman Reigns’ injury will not cause any change in creative plans. That being said, there was an alteration that needed to take place directly after SummerSlam.

WWE is doing media conferences after their big events now, and that is practice we can thank Cody Rhodes for, and SummerSlam was no different. Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, IYO Sky, Bayley, and Triple H spoke during that time after SummerSlam, but Roman Reigns did not show up.

Ringside News was able to confirm from a tenured member of the WWE team that Roman Reigns was scheduled for the media conference after SummerSlam. Paul Heyman came out alone to field questions, and he was not a happy camper without his Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown this week, so he’s still making dates on the road. That does not mean he will get in any action, but his ultimate part-timer schedule has afforded him a lot of time off between matches in the past.
