SummerSlam was a huge night for WWE in Detroit, but the closing match left everyone talking. Days later, it was revealed that Roman Reigns was hurt during that match, and things had to change after the event with planned media activities. That caused a bit of an issue and tensions could have been a bit elevated on top of it all.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Roman Reigns’ injury will not cause any change in creative plans for WWE’s direction with the Bloodline saga. That being said, there was an alteration that needed to take place directly after SummerSlam.

Ringside News was able to confirm from a tenured member of the WWE team that Roman Reigns was scheduled for the media conference after SummerSlam. Paul Heyman came out alone, and he was not happy about his introduction.

Byron Saxton hosted the SummerSlam press conference, and he had quite an interesting situation fall on him. Roman Reigns was supposed to be there, but Paul Heyman walked out alone. Saxton wasn’t expecting this change, so he gave an introduction for Roman Reigns instead.

Paul Heyman came out alone, and he had Roman Reigns title with him. Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “Heyman was pissed and started to tear into Byron, but then dropped it.”

SummerSlam was a huge event and a lot of things unfolded in the ring, and behind the scenes. Paul Heyman was prepared to address the media, but his introduction, something he knows about all too well, was flubbed in the middle of everything else going on. Thankfully, Paul Heyman is a professional, and he carried on with the media with his usual demeanor in tow.
