You never know who will show up in WWE, and the RAW after SummerSlam, is set to include a lot of notable action. Fans might see a new face on television as well, because a top free agent is backstage for RAW.

Nick Aldis left Impact Wrestling, and his name became a big one in discussions about people who would be perfect for WWE. It appears that he is taking a big step in that direction, because the former NWA World Champion will on hand for RAW this week.

PW Insider reported that Nick Aldis is in Minneapolis ahead of tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw. It was also noted that he is going to be a producer for WWE, so he won’t be an on-screen talent.

Aldis is being brought in for a potential Producer role, PWInsider.com is told.  He will be at a number of upcoming TV tapings.  We had reported last month that WWE had interest in him for that role.

Aldis, 36, began wrestling in the UK in 2004 before signing with what was then known as TNA in 2004.  During that run, he became the first British star to hold the TNA title as well as the TNA and IWGP Tag Team Championships.  After his initial TNA run, he held the Global Wrestling Force Championship for the Jeff Jarrett-owned promotion.

Under Billy Corgan’s leadership in the National Wrestling Alliance, Nick Aldis was a prominent figure and central talent within the company. Aldis played a crucial role in elevating the prestige of the NWA Championship through his involvement in the “Ten Pounds of Gold” and the NWA Powerrr series. His contributions significantly raised the profile of the championship and the promotion as a whole.

One of the standout moments in Nick Aldis’ NWA tenure was his title match against Cody Rhodes at the “All In” event in 2018. This highly anticipated bout became a major attraction for the show, drawing immense interest and excitement from wrestling fans worldwide.

Nick Aldis’ reign as NWA Champion was nothing short of remarkable, as he held the title for an impressive 1,043 days. However, his journey with the NWA eventually reached a turning point when he publicly announced his intentions to depart from the promotion. Following this announcement, Billy Corgan took decisive action and suspended Aldis, leading to his abrupt disappearance from the NWA scene.

The suspension marked a bittersweet end to Nick Aldis’ impactful tenure with the NWA, leaving fans to wonder about his future endeavors and where his talents would be showcased next in the world of professional wrestling. Now, Nick Aldis is finally in WWE, but he won’t be locking up in the ring.
