Eric Young had a solid run in NXT during his first run in the company, but that was irrelevant after he was called up to the main roster. After a break of a few years, he came back to WWE last year but didn’t even appear on television. Young then returned to Impact Wrestling recently and it appears he is working under an agreement with Impact Wrestling.

It was previously reported that WWE signed Eric Young to a new contract in November last year, but he never debuted again. He was working backstage but never managed to do much.

After Vince McMahon returned to WWE, Young wanted nothing to do with WWE and work under him. Therefore, he parted ways with the company after requesting his release and waiting until his 90-day non-compete clause expired.

Eric Young then returned during Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary event, teaming up with Scott D’Amore to defeat Bully Ray and Deaner. He has been appearing on Impact Wrestling television regularly since then.

While speaking on The Wrestling Perspective Podcast with Dennis Farrell and Lars Frederiksen, Eric Young talked about his current run in Impact Wrestling. Young revealed that he only has an agreement with Scott D’Amore and they are working on it right now.

I think it’s something that we could cross that bridge as far as contracts go. I’m under an agreement with Scott right now, and we’re working on it. There’s actually some really cool stuff that will probably come out in October/November. An opportunity I have with Anthem and with Access. So the deal is really complicated, and that’s why it’s kind of taking so long, but I will definitely be there up until the Emergence Pay-Per-View in Toronto and hope to be past that as well. I would be very surprised if we didn’t work something out.”

We will have to see what’s next for Eric Young, as the Impact Wrestling veteran is back in the company that truly made him a star in the first place. Perhaps fans might get to see him have a long run in the company again.

What’s your opinion on Eric Young’s return? Are you glad he is back with Impact Wrestling again? Sound off in the comments!
