Cody Rhodes came back to WWE at WrestleMania 38 last year and wasted no time in making an impact after defeating Seth Rollins in his return match. Rhodes has been on a roll since his return and fans continue to love him no matter what. Now it appears Rhodes hinted at returning to BTE.
The American Nightmare used to be a regular future on Being The Elite YouTube series, which starred The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega and became a hugely popular series as a travel vlog.
Cody Rhodes was always a highlight of Being The Elite after he joined Ring Of Honor, but started appearing less frequently after AEW became a thing in 2019. While speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Cody Rhodes was asked why he stopped appearing on the show. Rhodes then hinted at returning to BTE somewhere down the line.
“I don’t even remember. I think the workload for me was a problem. I was really proud of the Exorcism of Cody Rhodes and pretty much everything I had done on there, but I treated that the same way I treated SummerSlam. I was very committed, very all in, and with the job that I had and the other job I had, I think I fell out of the normal cast. Plus, the cast changed.
I want to say my last appearance was the drone funeral. I loved that. I thought that was a good way to go out. You never know, that’s a show that’s everywhere. I could make a cameo, I could make a return. There is a lot of fun that was had there, for sure.”
Cody Rhodes successfully defeated Brock Lesnar at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event. We will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for The American Nightmare next.
