Becky Lynch is undoubtedly one of the greatest names in WWE, whose value continues to skyrocket every week. Big Time Becks and Trish Stratus aren’t competing at SummerSlam, which has upset many people. Now it appears Triple H was defended for this decision.
WWE’s SummerSlam event is set to take over Detroit’s Ford Field on tonight, but Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus will not be taking place. As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE is making a ton of money in the Slim Jim Battle Royal match, which is why the match got cut.
It was previously noted that there are some unhappy people backstage in WWE over the treatment of the women’s division. While speaking to Stephanie Hypes of Ten Count, Zoey Stark defended Triple H’s decision and stated that she believes Triple H would never screw the women’s division.
“Hunter [Triple H] is a smart man. There is a reason, guys. He’s not just doing it to screw the women. He’s not. He’s doing it because he wants to make sure Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus have plenty of time to do it. I’m sure there are other reasons that come into play that we’re not even thinking about. When we get the match, and we will, it will be great and we will have plenty of time and it’s going to be a match well worth waiting for.”
WWE also announced that Becky Lynch will square off against Trish Stratus in two weeks on Monday Night RAW. We’ll have to see how the match will turn out in the end.
