Cody Rhodes has been booked as a massive star since his return to WWE last year. Rhodes’ first foe was none other than Seth Rollins, but they have moved on from their feud. That said, it appears Cody Rhodes dismissed claims that Rollins is unsafe in the ring.
After returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes wasted no time feuding with Seth Rollins. Their three encounters were highly entertaining, with Rhodes defeating Seth Rollins every time.
Back in 2016, Bret Hart had a lot of criticism towards Seth Rollins, as he called him an unsafe worker after Rollins broke John Cena’s nose and then injured Sting in The Icon’s final match in WWE.
While speaking to Fightful, Cody Rhodes addressed claims that Seth Rollins is an unsafe worker. The American Nightmare dismissed those claims and stated that Rollins is in the top three wrestlers of this generation.
“I had a guy, a fan, come up to me at the airport, JFK, the other day and he was asking about, he had said, “I had heard Seth was unsafe.” And I guess that was a rumor at some point or a thing that was… my gosh. That’s, no, no, I’m in there. I’m physically in there, and I have been in there with everybody from every company, all over the entire world. Seth is top three of our generation. I don’t even know where I want to put him in that number, but that guy knows what he’s doing.”
Cody Rhodes also doesn’t want to square off against Seth Rollins ever again. Regardless, Cody Rhodes has Brock Lesnar to contend with during the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event tonight. We’ll have to wait and see how he will fare in the match.
