CM Punk and The Elite threw down in an infamous backstage incident after All Out last year. Since then, CM Punk and The Elite served suspensions, but now they are on different television shows. It seems that things are not 100% okay between the two sides yet.

We previously reported that Kenny Omega was WWE’s #1 most wanted star, but they weren’t able to ink a deal with The Cleaner. All four members of The Elite are sticking around AEW. That doesn’t mean that all of the issues are behind them.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that, although new contracts have been signed for The Elite, that doesn’t mean their previous problems are behind them. Tony Khan will still have to pull off “a balancing act” when it comes to CM Punk and The Elite.

Even with the signing, there do remain significant behind-the-scenes issues that haven’t been settled, between them and C.M. Punk, which keeps Khan having to do a balancing act.

Kenny Omega made a comment on AEW Dynamite’s 200th’ episode that The Elite will continue on every AEW television show, including Collision. That being said, there is no guarantee that CM Punk and The Elite will coexist backstage on a regular basis.

There is a natural story in place between CM Punk and The Elite, but that doesn’t mean that they will want to do business with each other. Only time will tell how long it takes for things to cool off between the two sides, but it’s not likely to happen immediately.

What’s your take on CM Punk and The Elite’s beef in AEW? Will they ever work together in AEW? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
