The Young Bucks are undoubtedly in a league of their own when it comes to the business aspect of the industry. However, their polarizing personalities and approach to wrestling are not to everyone’s taste, and fans have learned to accept this. That said, it appears they are the highest-paid tag team in pro wrestling history.

The Young Bucks were one of the initial members of AEW as they are EVPs on top of in-ring performers. They have competed in several top-class matches over the years and are loved by many.

As previously reported, The Elite recently re-signed with AEW after lot of speculation about the contractual status. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that the Young Bucks had the highest guarantee any wrestling tag team has ever received, surpassing even Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in WCW.

Barry Bloom, who represented The Elite in contract negations, had told the Young Bucks that as far as he knew, this was the highest guarantee any tag team in pro wrestling history had ever gotten, and that would include the highest contracts for Kevin Nash & Scott Hall in WCW, although obviously comparing a 2023 dollar figure with late 90s in straight dollars doesn’t mean much given how much inflation has changed the value going that far back.

The Elite were also told to be quiet about re-signing with AEW. Regardless, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Adam Page are here to say in AEW for the long run and that’s all that matters.
